It
consisted of both a webcam that he set up in Emergency Room, which he
mixed with news from a Spanish 24-hour news channel, by projecting both
recordings on the wall overlapping each other. To these images he added
a cross and a text saying: “This is the beginning of the news stream.”
“The news is not the news,
they don’t “happen”. They are a reproduction or interpretation of what
someone think is the news.” In contrary the webcam shows the moment.
That way the work draws attention to the physical being in space as the
core of both reality and representation.

" , I wrote down sentences or rather words
in between sentences that
I heard on the BBC world service morning broadcasts. I edited them
daily as short videos sequences
It is rather dazzling to pay attention to these in-between agreed,
elegant and very convenient turns of languages, you loose the track,
the news are reduced to almost one level. The words you read could have
been used for one or the other world conflict going on that day,
repeated many times a day, listing one catastrophe after the other in a
monotonous way."
From september 18th til october 6th I came almost everyday during that
time, I believed this idea made
sense if it was led very regularly.
